You will learn that prayer and reading from sources you consider to be scripture enables children to feel that God wishes to communicate with them on a regular basis.

Connecting Faith to Values

You will learn that believing in moral values results from teaching about faith, teaching about values, and combining those with experience.

Faith and Virtue

You will learn that virtue, the power of self-control, comes from an active follow-up program teaching about and reinforcing self-discipline.

SECTION 8

To Be and To Do

You will learn that life requires choices between the motivation to be and become some positive quality and to do and accomplish. Faith results from making the doing the servant of the being.

SECTION 9

Faith, Honesty, and Identity

You will learn that honesty links faith to the normal processes of identity formation, and dishonesty creates fear and identity diffusion.
